House Security

Keys

When you place a house, a key will appear in your backpack. This key can be stolen or looted from a corpse.

To make a key blessed it must be placed on a keyring which can be crafted or purchased.

Runes

Owners and Subowners can mark Blue Runes inside a house which can only be used by Friends, Subowners and Owners. Blue runes are also blessed and can be placed in Blue Runebooks (crafted with Inscription) which are also blessed.

Secures

Each house has a limited number of secured containers. These containers can only be accessed by Guild members, Friends, Subowners or Owners depending on how they are secured. It is recommended you place your most valuable items in secure containers.

To secure a container you must first lock it down. Place a container in your house and then use the “.house” command and select “Access House” from the gump. Then go to Options and select “Lock Down” and select the container. Press “ESC” and then select Options again and finally choose the type of Secure container you wish to make and click the container again. This container can now only be accessed by the level you selected.

Secures do not count towards lock down limits. When you secure a container you will be credited with another lock down.

The number of secures available depends on the size of the house. Refer to House Types to see how many are available.
